Franschhoek Champagne Festival December 2011
3 & 4 DECEMBER 2011
Franschhoek, one of the very few "Postcard" towns I know of in South Africa.
The Festival of they year, Franschhoek Champagne Festival.
In the height of summer when Franschhoek is beautiful and the place to be. Come to the Champagne Festival for a short break before the whole of the country descends upon the Cape Province for Xmas. I am sure bubbly will be had everywhere in the Valley, as this is definitely the "Bubbly" festival of Franschhoek.
The main event will most probably again be held at the Monument Grounds in a beautiful White Tent, but there will definitely be tastings in and around the town as well.
Our new shop in town called WINES will have bubbles galore from near and far. Franschhoek the "one-stop" gourmet capital of South Africa is always worth a visit. Come and enjoy the "whole" of Franschhoek by spending a night or two in the village.
Accommodation for everyone's taste and pocket is available in town or on the outskirts. Take a lazy walk down the streets of Franschhoek and admire some of the lovely gardens you will be passing by. The town will be bursting at the seams, but this all adds to the atmosphere.
Ample parking in the church grounds gives everybody easy access to all the activities in the town as nothing is far away. All of Franschhoek shops, restaurants and pubs will be bubbling over to be at your service to make your visit and stay one of the most memorable there is to be had.
Take a drive up the mountain and see what Franschhoek looks like, it is breathtaking, or sit on one of the benches provided in the town and just watch the world go by.
