FRANSCHHOEK FESTIVALS FOR ALL TO ENJOY

FEBRUARY & MARCH - HARVEST FESTIVALS:

During February and March of every year Franschhoek has various harvest festivals in and around Franschhoek.  Come spend a weekend at 22 Van Wijk Street Guest Rooms and enjoy the entertainment and experiences created on various farms. An events calendar is available at our guest house for your convenience. 

MAY - LITERARY FESTIVAL:

This is not to be missed! The Literary Festival is now so popular that it is essential to stay in town to enjoy the full offering of this event.  Stay safely at 22 Van Wijk Street's Bed and Breakfast and find yourself so well positioned that you will not have to drive anywhere.  Everything being offered at the festival will be within walking distance of your accommodation. Your Accommodation will also give you easy access to the best restaurants and breakfast spots the Town has to offer.

JUNE - COOK FRANSCHHOEK:

This is the month for all food and wine lovers who ever wanted to master various cooking skills, bread making, etc. etc.  This is the time when our local eating establishments and wonderful chefs share their knowledge with all around them.  Lots of activities around food with be on offer.  By staying at 22 Van Wijk Street Tourist Accommodation you should be able to walk to 90% of the venues.

JULY - BASTILLE FESTIVAL:

Every year on the weekend of ± 16th July Franschhoek celebrates Bastille Day.  This is a wonderful festival concentrating on food, wine, barrel rolling competition, Boules competition, a chef's and waiters race and the ever popular food and wine marquee.  Music can be heard throughout the town.  Make your visit worthwhile by staying at 22 Van Wijk Street Tourist Accommodation which is just one street-block away from the Franschhoek main road.  Park and Walk is our motto.  The event is very French and red/white/blue will be seen throughout the town.  All the craft shops, coffee shops and wonderful restaurants are a must visit.

SEPTEMBER - FRANSCHHOEK UNCORKED:

What better way to start the spring season than visiting Franschhoek on the first weekend of September for the Franschhoek Uncorked Festival. This is an ideal opportunity to visit  the well known, as well as the off the beaten track,  wine farms in the valley who partake in this festival.  Your stay in the centre of Franschhoek at 22 Van Wijk Street Tourist Accommodation will allow you the convenience of not needing to drive in the evening for dinner. Just take a casual stroll to town to one of the wonderful restaurants and back.

OCTOBER or NOVEMBER - FRANSCHHOEK OPEN GARDENS:
